Apparently Brent Liles was hit by a truck and killed yesterday in Fullerton. A great guy and great musician. He will be missed.

gosh, that's awful. do you know where it was? harbor/ chapman can be real nasty with people running red lights. i try to avoid that intersection like the plague.
i run quite a bit in fullerton (almost exclusively) and have had several close calls, as have some of my teammates when we were in college. i was actually hit on rosecrans and gilbert back in '02 by a sedan and i speak from experience that it's def scary. i have been hit as a pedestrian 2x, and on a bike once, and it's quite an eye opener.

I was talking to Derek yesturday about it and i guess Brent has no immediate family around to help with the arrangements. that is so sad. i would hate to be alone in this world and nobody would know when i died.
The official Social D site has photos of Brent L. in the "old School Photos" section but...no mention of his passing on the official site?!?!
Even though he left the band ages ago it would be a nice gesture to mention him because he's been part of the band at some point in time.
The OC Register article also mentions "Ness did not return a phone call to his management company seeking comment"...that's f***ed up!
